It has been a long time since his seed germinated inside me, his stem became a trunk, his branches were covered with leaves of the most intense green I have ever seen, and his flowers gave way to the fruits that today see the light. His roots are strongly anchored to the ground and now he only wants to grow, become strong and grow old in the forest glade. Folklore, herbalism, mythology, magic... all this is reflected in the pages of this wee book. In him I wanted to tell a small part of the exciting and wild world of trees and plants among which we live, I wanted to tell how the gods are intimately related to plants older than themselves, how our ancestors discovered their medicinal properties, their power and their magic, how through the years that legacy has been preserved with respect, how magic surrounds each of the characters in this little book .... With these pages I want to open a door for you to see what is on the other side, I want to awaken in you your true essence, what you once were, I want to awaken your wild side, the one that is connected to the earth, the one that makes a simple breeze in the silence of the forest make your skin crawl, the one that makes you speechless before the thousand stories that hide the oldest forests.
Writing this book has been really wonderful, it has been a beautiful, long, exciting, endearing process. The whole process has been handmade, it has been done at HOME, from the first word to the binding. I have seen him born, grow and now he wants to fly!!!! He wants to fly so far that I have written him in English and Spanish, because he wants to travel the whole world. And he is eager to reach your home, your hands, and be part of your library. I could talk to you for hours about him, but... I prefer you to be the one to discover what he hides between his pages. All you have to do is choose the language for your book.
The inside pages are printed on recycled paper, the cover is cream-colored laid paper and the binding is handmade with maroon cord, sewn by hand.
