SAMHAIN, IN THE DARKNESS...

And into my darkness I go to find my light.... Today, Samhain, the beginning of the dark season, I feel deeply happy and anchored to the earth and my ancestors. Today, when the two worlds embrace and dance an ancient dance whose origin no one knows. Today, when magic tears the veil and the portal opens so that we can welcome those who came before us. After spending a few days with my family, today I am ready to dive into my darkness and find my light. Today we remember the past, look the present and dream of the future. The harvest is gathered, we celebrate what our grandparents and parents taught us. I smile because it is finally raining, because a cool wind plays with the dry leaves, because the nights are long and dark, because the warmth of home is a true gift and now I begin to enjoy it. I roasted chestnuts, pumpkin puree, we carved a barn owl in a pumpkin inspired by the beautiful lantern of my wild sister @nettlebear . The barn owl has been guiding my steps for a long time, and today is an important day that I am grateful she is by my side. The candles will burn all night long honoring my ancestors and yours, showing them the way..... Blessed Samhain, blessed darkness, happy end of summer!!!
