RIBWORT, THE SEVEN VEINS OF THE FOREST

After Beltane the days are warmer. The sun warms my face, the wind plays with my hair and I enjoy making herbal offerings and creating magic outdoors.

Beautiful morning of harvest...Precious ribwort accompanies me back home... Also called "Seven veins" because of the nerves running through its leaves. It was already used in ancient Egypt for its medicinal properties. Balsamic, it caresses the walls of the throat and bronchial tubes when there is inflammation. It is a great ally to fight bronchitis, colds and asthma. Its soothing and softening effect is also used to make ointments and poultices to help heal the skin when there are burns or wounds. It has a great anti-inflammatory power and much more... It has been really nice to walk the little meadow and be able to harvest these soft leaves that will come home with me...Wild and nice day!!!!
