MIDSUMMER, WHEN I SEE THE FIRE...

I see the fire, right here, right now. I see the fire starting to burn in the bonfire in front of me. The fire in the earth beneath my feet, which warms the seeds that will bear fruit in a few weeks. The fire in the air, growing warmer and warmer, as Sun struggles to keep his reign for a few last moments before the dark half of the year begins. Fire glowing on the shortest night of the year, one of the most magical. The gate opens, and magic and reality are one. Spirits dance among us, water gushes from sacred wells and our souls need to die and be reborn. Burn the old and welcome the new, honor the ancestors, remember who we are, walk in sacred forests that hold secrets never told...The wheel pushes us forward, always forward, and the fire, sacred element in the summer solstice, gives us strength to keep walking, creating, dreaming... living.
