HAMINGJA (PART II)

Valkyrie, guardian spirit, our animal spirit...everything is related, everything is before you, so different and so equal at the same time, different forms, different appearances but only one meaning: to protect and guide us. In Old Norse ham-gengja means to change form and comes from hamr (form, appearance) and gengja (to walk in form). Our hamingja is an inner power so strong that our animal spirit can take form, materialise, and in the true seidr art the person is able to take the form of an animal, transforming into its true essence. It's a practice deeply rooted in shamanism, not only in the seidr magic of Scandinavian culture, but also in other cultures.Trances are moments when the hamingja gives strength to the fylgja to leave our body and take control, and that power becomes visible to the human eye.In different sagas is said the hamingja is a protective guardians in the form of a woman or valkyrie. They are female spirits that watch over the safety of man. It is the materialisation of the hamingja, and can be passed from one man to another, inherited and never dies.Generation after generation it accumulates wisdom, power and strength.you cannot separate yourself from the hamingja, it's part of you, it's you.Don't you find it exciting to have such an ancient power within you?It shapes you like water wears away the rocks of a river. That inner fire, that legacy, that strength that protects you and at the same time sets you apart from others, makes you unique and makes you shine...📸 Pic by @melissa_baldissera
